With over twenty years’ experience in property styling and interior design and styling, Catherine Heraghty is the owner and Creative Director of The Stables. Her passion for design and styling is evident as she breathes life into every project with smart and simplistic styling solutions. She creates spaces that have a sense of light and warmth, and places importance on lasting interiors that will become part of her client's story at home.
Known for her soft and muted colour palette, Catherine focuses on clean lines and natural light. She seamlessly adapts to many styles to assist her clients reaching their design goals, but her love of classic, modern Australian and coastal styling is evident in her extensive portfolio. Proving neutrals to be anything but boring, she makes the most of natural materials by layering texture and patterns to add depth and warmth to each and every room.
Tess Alati
lead interior Designer
As Lead Designer, Tess brings a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to residential design, with a passion for spatial planning and documentation. Since graduating from Billy Blue College of Design with a Bachelor of Interior Design, she has worked across a range of high-end residential projects, from large-scale renovations to bespoke kitchen designs.
Tess is driven by a strong desire to create spaces that feel both functional and beautifully resolved, always taking care to ensure every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Her calm and dedicated nature, combined with a strong work ethic, allows her to approach each project with both creativity and precision. She finds great fulfilment in seeing the positive transformation thoughtfully designed interiors can bring to her clients’ everyday lives.

Known for her warm and friendly nature, she creates a sense of ease throughout the design process, ensuring clients feel both supported and understood. With a pragmatic mindset and a strong attention to detail, Lucy takes great pride in delivering spaces that feel resolved, thoughtful, and deeply personal.

Sarah’s aesthetic is grounded in an organic, earthy sensibility, characterised by soft curves, layered textures, and a considered material palette.
